Gislavedsleden Walk #4: Fegen-Hålgryte-Burseryd (Friday 07/10-16)

I returned to Gislavedsleden already after two days. This time I went back to Fegen. I first walked the part connecting to the rest of Gislavedsleden (5.7km) and then I walked the part of Gislavedsleden going to Hålgryte (20.4km). Finally I walked 4.4km more in order to reach a bus station in Burseryd. Thus in total the walk was roughly 30.5km and it took me 7h53mins. My average speed was therefore 3.87km/h, which is pretty average.
The walk goes for the most part on gravel roads and tractor roads as tends to be the case for most parts of Gislavedsleden. However, what differentiates this walk from other parts of Gislavedsleden is that most of it (with the exception of the connecting parts) goes through Fegen's nature reserve and near the lake Fegen. The walk thus has some quite beautiful and interesting segments. It is possibly my second favorite Gislavedsleden walk.
Other than that it can be noted that the weather was a bit warmer than last time but still pretty cold and a bit windy (as you would expect in early October). I will let the photos tell the rest of the story. Enjoy!

Sandvik church.
Sandvik's church has old traditions as an offering church (a church which was seen as holier than other churches and people gave therefore the church more offering) and according to the story Sandvik was the origin place for the spread of Christianity in this part of Småland. Today it is a popular church for marriages and in the parish hall next to the church there is a cafe and a handicraft exhibition during summers.

Shortly before reaching the gravel road near Hålgryte I saw two or possibly four elks. First I walked and all of the sudden two elks ran away from me. Then a few minutes afterwards I saw two more elks or possibly the same two elks. I only managed to take a photo of one of the elks. Sorry for the bad quality.
