Sjuhäradsleden Walk #3: Björbostugan (Borås)-Brämhult (Borås) (Wednesday 31/08-16)

The next walk took place on Wednesday and by that point the summer holidays had ended. I had school in the morning/early noon and when I got home I decided to go to Borås in order to walk from Björbostugan to Brämhult (where I ended up last time). In total the walk was just 11.7km (but considering it took place in the afternoon it was just enough) and took 2h39min. Thus my average speed was approximately 4.42km/h.
The walk goes through northern Borås, which happens to be a less populated part of Borås. Although there are some apartments and residential areas on the path, a big chunk of the walk goes through areas popular for walking, running or other physical activities (resort regions). In that sense it's a bit similar to Vildmarksleden Walk #2 between Kåsjön and Skatås. It thus has the same kind of disadvantage with regards to there being many people there (which makes it harder to take photos without random people in them). Other than that it was a pretty interesting but short walk. The photos are presented below. Enjoy!

Laxatorpet
In the parish catechetical meeting record there is no croft called Laxatorpet. The croft and its farm land is on a map from 1856, but there it isn't named either.
However, one of the people living in the croft was supposedly called Laxa-Frans and in the meeting records for Holmens farm, to which the croft belonged, there is only one Frans registered.
This Frans was originally from Skephult and was married to Emilia Elisabet Augustsdotter from Södra Ving. They had earlier lived in the apartment Norra Lorensberg in Borås. Some time before moving to the croft they had the son Erik Wilhelm. Later on Helge Emanuel, Ingeborg Olivia, Alex Hjalmar and Karin Elisabet were born in the croft. In 1904 they moved to the property Skogslund located in Bergdalen.

Used hue restorer plug-in to get rid of the cyan-ish parts of the sky. Also increased the contrast of the non-sky parts, first using the levels tool and then using the brightness-contrast tool.

Rotated and cropped the photo.
